Where is the Downtown?

Downtown runs along “the Queen” (aka Queen Street) between Pim Street and Dennis Streets, a seven block stretch that is steeped in history. Many of the buildings were constructed of sandstone quarried from the area or have brick facades that reflect architectural influences from the late 1800s and onwards. Queen Street offers a blend of businesses and services, tourist attractions plus a growing number of high-end residential units on many of the upper floors.

Re-acquaint yourself with the museum or play tourist and tour the Bushplane Museum, Art Gallery of Algoma or Ermatinger-Clergue historic site. Take an art class and perhaps discover a hidden talent.
