Get ready to celebrate Ontario Culture Days 2023, a month of events highlighting our diverse cultures, arts, and heritage in Sault Ste. Marie’s Cultural Corridor!
Join us for Cultural Family Fun Day on Friday September 29th, with opening ceremonies at 10:00 a.m. at the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library, James L. McIntyre Centennial Library, under the front canopy.
The Outdoor Cultural Family Fun Day will follow from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Clergue Park. Drop by for FREE crafts, activities, games, demonstrations, and a variety of booths from community partners. Families and participants of all ages are welcome!
Event highlights include:
• Tons of arts and crafts activities
• Insects and other buggy activities with Entomica
• Paper airplane contests with the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre
• Traditional dancers with the Northern Ontario Latin-Hispanic Association, Belly dancers from Jewels of Oasis, and Traditional Filipino Tap Dance from the Soo Filipino Community.
• Fitness activities with the YMCA and Strong Minds
• Drum Fit, building blocks, and other games with the City of Sault Ste. Marie and Sault Ste. Marie Public Library
• Free Popcorn courtesy of Community Living Algoma while quantities last and pizza from Local Immigration Partnership
• Face painting and Henna courtesy of Sault Community Career Centre
• Free food! Pizza and popcorn!
