Free Drop-in ‘Crafternoon’ with Thinking Rock Community Arts

  • Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site 800 Bay Street Sault Ste. Marie, ON, P6A 3G4 Canada (map)

Looking for an inspired way to spend an afternoon?

Join us Friday, March 17th from 2 pm to 4 pm, at the Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site (800 Bay St., Sault Ste. Marie), where we'll be sharing our work through hands-on intergenerational artmaking.

We’ll be bringing a bunch of our Social Fabric activities, and YOU are invited to try your hand at:
- Embroidering a blanket transformed by messages of love;
- Trying your hand at hand quilting;
- Making a mending list, and thinking through what mending means to you;
- Adding colour to our evolving Gathering Quilt.

We'll also be sharing information about our community-engaged work and how to get involved!

No experience is needed and everyone is welcome to join this free drop-in session! For more information please email us (info@thinkingrock.ca) or call (705) 542-1100.

We acknowledge the funders and supporters of our work - including Niigaaniin Services and Mamaweswen/The North Shore Tribal Council, the Ontario Arts Council, the New Horizons for Seniors Program, the Canada Council for the Arts, the Canadian Red Cross, the City of Sault Ste. Marie, the Canada Post Community Foundation, the Ontario Trillium Foundation, and the Governments of Ontario and Canada.
